In order to continue and consolidate the significant progress already made, several operational workshops for the revival of the textile sector have been organized on a regular basis since December 2020.
The dialogue brought together around twenty participants, including GIZ and Gesamtmasche, representatives from the public and private sectors: Sodefitex & FNPC for the production side, transformation plants (Domitexka and NSTS), representatives from the Ministry of Industry, garment industries (Pitex), textile training center (DDH).
The taskforce established an action plan for the revival of the Senegalese textile industry. A permanent secretary will be set up, and a follow-up mechanism will be deployed to ensure efficient implementation of the actions.
