DIGITALIZATION – FOR MORE SECURITY AND TRANSPARENCY

In order to play an agile role on the international map for textiles, Senegal is relying on seamless evidence in terms of quality and sustainability. In cooperation with the Senegalese software company Manobi, the country can already visualize and document essential work and production steps in the areas of agriculture, harvesting and processing, including geolocation of individual fields and batches of cotton, consumption of water and fertilizers, harvest yield, harvest forecasts and quality in terms of staple length. Stations such as “Confection” and “Garment” are to follow in the near future.
